Shadow Experiment

Today in Science, Year 5 have been conducting an experiment using our scientific enquiry skills. We have been looking for patterns, comparing results and observing over time. We set up an experiment in the morning to track the movement of shadows across the playground. Every hour, we went out to measure and draw the shadow, noticing where it had moved to and how it had changed in length. At the end of the day, we drew conclusions about what the shadow's movement tells us about the rotation of the Earth.
