Prayer and Liturgy 2026- 2027

At Mount Carmel, prayer and liturgy are at the heart of our daily school life. They play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth of our children and fostering a strong sense of community.

We follow the Prayer and Liturgy Directory – "To Love You More Dearly", which guides and enriches our worship, helping us to provide meaningful and age-appropriate opportunities for all pupils to encounter God.

This page celebrates the special prayer and liturgical events that take place throughout the school year. From daily prayers and celebration of the word worship to Masses, assemblies, and religious festivals, we gather regularly to reflect, rejoice and grow closer to God.

Starting the New Academic Year in Faith- Friday 4th September

We began our new academic year with a wonderful whole-school Mass – a beautiful way to come together as a school family and place the year ahead in God’s hands.

Our Year 6 children led the readings and prayers with great confidence and reverence. It was also lovely to see Years 1–6 singing so beautifully and joining together in the responses.

It was a very special celebration and a wonderful reminder that, as a school community, we begin our journey together with faith at the heart of all that we do.
