Gingerbread

Class: Year 5B Year: 2025 - 2026

This week, Year 5 have been completing our D&T unit all about making gingerbread. First, we learnt about the origins of gingerbread and then we taste tested gingerbread men, lebkuchen and Jamaican ginger cake. We baked two different gingerbread recipes, with slightly different ingredients and method. We tried both recipes and made dough for creating our own gingerbread men. We designed our cookies and the packaging ready to create. It has been lots of fun and we can't wait to taste our final product!
