Year 2 visits the National Football Museum

On Monday, Year 2 enjoyed their trip to the National Football Museum. We took part in a workshop 'Lily Parr - Football Then & Now'. In this session,  the children found out about Lily Parr and the Dick Kerr Ladies team, and discovered what life was like for women during WW1. Objects were used to help the children identify and explain how objects have changed from the past to the present day. This session helped us to find out more about the origins and story of women’s football. The children enjoyed exploring the three levels of the museum and they each took part in a penalty shoot out!
