World Book Day

We had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day in Year 3! 📚 We enjoyed thinking about our favourite story characters and taking part in a very exciting Character Champion Battle.

Each child chose a character and created their own battle sheet, explaining why their character should win. First, every table chose their own champion. Then the whole class voted to decide our Ultimate Character Champion!

The final was very exciting and included some amazing characters: The Christmasaurus, Spider-Man, Ariel, Rosa Parks and Monkey. Everyone shared their reasons and listened carefully to each other’s ideas before voting.

In the end, our Ultimate Character Champion was The Christmasaurus! 🦖 He won because the class decided he is kind, fearless, brave and strong. They also loved that he is Santa’s helper.

We also joined a special online session with Mark Bradley, the author of the Bumble and Snug books. He told us all about what inspired him to become an author and how he creates his stories. The children loved learning how to draw Bumble and Snug and even had a go at designing their own fantastic BugBots!
