Spring Walk around Boggart Hole Clough
Date: 4th Mar 2026 @ 4:53pm
On a glorious spring afternoon, Reception walked to Boggart Hole Clough to look for early signs of spring. On entering the Clough, the children spotted the pink cherry blossom in bloom and the croci which were warmed by the warmth of the sun had fully opened. Walking around, we spotted daffodils, green leaves, croci, blossom and we even saw a ladybird on a bud. The children were great at ticking off the different items on their list. In the middle of the Clough, we stopped still and silently to listen to the birds singing. We identified a robin and a wood pigeon. We also spotted a bird's nest high up in the trees. The children were fascinated to watch two squirrels eating seed off the ground. It was wonderful to see the colourful signs of spring and the children returned to school full of wonder!
