Science week

Date: 23rd Mar 2022 @ 1:17pm

The children have enjoyed learning about growth during Science week. We have learnt about how we grow from babies into adults. The children have been sharing what they can do now that couldn't do when they were babies.

We have also been learning about how plants grow and what they need to grow into strong plants. The children have enjoyed planting their own beans. We can't wait to observe them over the next few weeks to see how they change.

On mad hair day the children enjoyed exploring oobleck slime. Making oobleck is a great science experiment to show how changes in pressure can change the properties of some materials. The children made the slime during group time and then had the opportunity to explore how the oobleck changed into a solid and liquid during get busy time. The children had lots of messy fun experimenting with it.

Welcome to Mount Carmel RC Primary; a place where we proclaim Christ’s message of hope and celebrate the uniqueness of each child.
