Saying “Yes” to God's Invitation
Date: 16th Oct 2026 @ 10:24am
Today, we were blessed to share a beautiful child-led Collective Worship led by five members of our class. The children carefully prepared our worship space, setting up the altar and giving each child a small cross to help us focus during our time of prayer and reflection.
Our worship was based on the Gospel story of The Wedding Banquet from Matthew's Gospel. Together, we thought about why some people in the story chose to say "no" to the invitation. We reflected on how God invites everyone to be part of His family and join His feast, but each of us must choose whether we will accept that invitation.
As we listened and prayed, we considered what it means to say "yes" to God in our everyday lives. The children shared thoughtful ideas about how we can do this through simple acts of kindness, inviting others to join in our games, including those who may feel lonely, and showing everyone that God's family is a place where all are welcome.
The children led us with confidence, respect and reverence, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere for us all. Their thoughtful prayers and reflections helped us remember that God's invitation is open to everyone, and that we can respond by choosing love, kindness and inclusion each day.
We are very proud of our worship leaders and the wonderful example they set for our class. ✝️🌟
"Lord, help us to say 'yes' to Your invitation and welcome others with the same love that You show to us." 🙏💙
