Poetry performance

Our Year 2 class have been developing their performance skills as they worked together to practise performing a list poem using expanded noun phrases. We explored how poets use their voices, facial expressions and body movements to bring poetry to life. The children practised performing with confidence, using actions and gestures to express the meaning of their words and make their performances engaging for an audience. They worked brilliantly together, experimenting with expression, volume and pace to create lively and memorable performances.
