Paper Sculptures
Date: 5th Feb 2026 @ 11:59am
This half term, the children have been exploring the exciting world of paper sculpture. We began by looking at the work of artist Richard Sweeney, using his fascinating designs to inspire our own paper sculptures.
We then discovered the incredible artwork of Jeff Nishinaka and used his creations as inspiration for our very own monster masks. The children carefully designed their masks before bringing them to life using balloons and papier-mâché.
Once the masks have fully dried, we’ll be painting them to match their original designs, learning how to mix paints to create just the right colours. It’s been a wonderfully creative half term, full of imagination, experimentation, and hands-on fun! 🎨✨
