Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast Day

The 16th of July is a very special day for the Mount Carmel family as we celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

In the beautiful morning sunshine, we went out to the prayer shelter for our Celebration of the Word. The children listened to the gospel reading from Luke about the Annunciation and we thought about how special Mary was as a person and why God had chosen her. We thought that Mary was kind because she was gentle and she showed great courage and trust in God. We ended our Celebration of the Word by praying to Mary with the Hail Mary and we thought carefully about how we end our prayers with  'Our Lady of Mount Carmel Pray for us. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Pray for them.' When we came back to class, we coloured in pictures of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
