NSPCC Number Day

Reception celebrated NSPCC Number Day with a variety of different maths activities. The children were learning their number bonds to 10 so they enjoyed creating the different number pairs on a huge tens frame and recorded the different number pairs on whiteboards. Outside, the children sang 'Ten Green Bottles' and wrote the different number sentences on chalkboards. They also enjoyed voting on their favourite Chinese food and creating a tally chart to see which was the favourite food. The noodles won! Children also made teen numbers using Numicon to make the two parts of the number. The children had a great day developing their love of numbers!
