Music in Year 3
Date: 8th Sep 2026 @ 8:06pm
This week, Year 3 were very excited to begin their music lessons. Mrs O from One Education came into school to teach us how to play the recorder.
We started the lesson by warming up our voices and exercising our fingers, ready to make music. Then came the exciting moment when we got out our recorders for the very first time! Mrs O taught us how to play the note B and explained the importance of blowing gently. Instead of blowing too hard, we practised using a soft "tuh" sound to create a clear note.
By the end of the lesson, we had learned to play two pieces of music: Busy B and Glory B. The children showed great concentration and enthusiasm and were delighted with the progress they made in their first lesson.
We are all looking forward to our next recorder lesson and continuing our musical journey together! 🎵🎶
