Mr Coogan remembers the moon landing.

Mr Coogan visited Reception to tell them of his memories of the moon landing in 1969. He showed them how it took a mighty rocket to get to the moon and back with only the top capsule returning. To help the children understand this, he had a 6ft picture of the Saturn 5 and gradually bits were cut off and thrown away during the story to demonstrate how brave the astronauts were. The children were enthralled and later had a go building and designing their own rockets. Thank you Mr Coogan.
