Mark 10 Mission Visits School
Date: 19th Jul 2026 @ 10:01pm
This term we were blessed to welcome Greg Finn from the Mark 10 Mission into our school community. His visit offered a precious opportunity to pause, reflect and deepen our shared experience of prayer. As a Catholic school, our prayer life sits at the heart of everything we do, shaping our days and guiding our relationships. Greg’s presence helped us explore this more fully and recognise how God speaks to us in simple, everyday moments.
Greg spent time in both departments, leading Celebration of the Word and inviting the children to listen closely to scripture. He shared stories from the Bible with every year group, encouraging them to think about how God’s word can guide their choices, strengthen their friendships and help them grow in faith. His calm and thoughtful approach created a sense of stillness that allowed the children to reflect deeply.
As we continue to develop class‑led Celebration of the Word across the school, Greg’s message and the training he offered to staff were truly inspiring. His guidance supported us in ensuring that both children and adults are celebrating the word of Jesus in meaningful and prayerful ways.
Our GIFT Team in Key Stage 2 were especially delighted to meet him. Many pupils recognised Greg from the Mark 10 Mission worship videos they enjoy in school, and meeting him in person felt very special. Their conversations with him strengthened their understanding of the importance of leading prayer within our community.
The day was filled with joy, reflection and a renewed sense of purpose. Greg’s visit reminded us that prayer is not only something we share in assemblies or classrooms, but something that can shape every part of our school life. It strengthened our shared mission to know Jesus more deeply and to keep prayer at the centre of all we do at Mount Carmel.
