Create Day

Year 3 took part in a very special day today, a day called Create Day. This day was organised by the Royal Ballet and Opera Schools that focused on a day of dancing, singing, and creating. We focused on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in our dance, inspired by Crystal Pite’s choreography ‘Covenant’, and explore themes of identity and hope in a performance of Ayanna Witter-Johnson’s song ‘The Hope’. This was a fantastic way for us to tie in our learning and understanding of the UNCRC and Pope Francis' Holy Year of Jubilee - Pilgrims of Hope. It was a fantastic, thought-provoking day filled with self-expression, joy, and above all, hope.
