Christmas Celebrations in Year 6
Date: 18th Dec 2025 @ 2:07pm

Year 6C have had a great time celebrating Advent and Christmas.
To help us prepare for Christmas, we made a Christingle and wrote lovely prayers for Advent. During our visit to Manchester City Centre, we also spent some quite time looking at the crib and the statue of Jesus in St. Ann's Square. This inspired us to create our own cribs and share the Nativity story with our families and friends.
Visiting the Christmas Markets in Manchester was such an exciting experience. The stalls were filled with lovely gifts and enticing chocolate treats! We also spent some time in Lincoln Square and learnt about the significance of the Abraham Lincoln statue. This formed part of our history topic and helped us to think about the impact of the Industrial Revolution on the people of Manchester.
We celebrated Christmas together and wore our Christmas jumpers and played exciting games during our Christmas Party Day. Finally, we made our own Christmas decorations to share with our families.
Happy Christmas from Y6C!
