Celebrating VE Day

Children took part in a special VE Day celebration by joining a live assembly with schools from across the country. After learning about the importance of the day, they got creative by making colourful flags and preparing tasty jam sandwiches. To mark the occasion, the whole school enjoyed a fun outdoor party, just like people did 80 years ago. Everyone joined in singing, and the Year 2 children gave a fantastic performance, even teaching the rest of the school some traditional 1940s dance moves. It was a joyful and memorable way to honour this very special day.
