Building Resiliance

Date: 20th Jan 2026 @ 3:18pm

This half term, the children had a wonderful opportunity to work with Kate, our drama therapist, to explore and develop their resilience. Through imaginative play and teamwork, they created a powerful drama about a group of farmers whose crops were sadly destroyed by a dangerous tornado.

The children showed fantastic creativity as they acted out the farmers digging, planting and watering their crops, only to face an unexpected challenge. What made the story so special was how the three resilient farmers encouraged everyone not to give up. Together, all the farmers worked as a team, replanted their crops, and supported one another every step of the way.

The performance ended with a joyful moment as they all proudly shouted, “We did it!” — a perfect reflection of the children’s growing confidence, perseverance, and belief in the power of working together.

Welcome to Mount Carmel RC Primary; a place where we proclaim Christ’s message of hope and celebrate the uniqueness of each child.
