Nursery 1

Welcome to Nursery 1, we are the Hedgehog group! Our class teacher is Mrs Grayson. We are also supported by our wonderful Teaching Assistants, Mrs Doyle, Mrs Sloan and Mrs Tang.

In Nursery, we are challenged to become independent learners through exciting continuous provision and guided activities. 

Our class saint is St Francis of Assisi. He is the patron saint of animals. On his feast day we will celebrate in Nursery by coming into school dressed as our favourite animal.

We record significant moments in your child's time in Nursery on their Tapestry account. Please login to see what your child has been doing. You can comment on observations made and also upload any of your own photos and observations that you would like to share with us.

DEAR Time

In Nursery we encourage a love of reading. Each day we have dedicated story time ~ DEAR time ~  we Drop Everything we are doing And Read one of our favourite five texts selected for the half term. 

Hedgehog of the Week

Each Friday a child is chosen to take Harry the Hedgehog home for the weekend. We encourage parents to take photos of what your child and Harry the Hedgehog have been doing over the weekend and upload these to your child's Tapestry account. They are then shared with the class during Monday morning snack and chat time. Your child is also invited to bring in a story to share during DEAR time. 

Please remember to label all items of clothing and footwear. 

Please ensure your child has spare clothing on their peg.
